August Rush

What’s Up!

August is almost here! It’s amazing to think that in just a couple of weeks, schools will re-open their doors, sporting events will start up (they already have), and youth groups will be back in full swing. I don’t know about you but the last one is what I am super pumped about. This year we are striving, as always, to engage Jesus in a way that will impact young people’s lives forever.

Our August Newsletter is up! Check it out on the calender tab.

Some things you will notice on the newsletter. First of all, this newsletter is jam packed with information regarding technology you need to know about. This is one of the most interesting newsletters we have put out to date. Be sure to read everything carefully.

As for other information, the calendar shows the following.

  • Sunday night GeNESIS events will stay the same. We will meet as a junior high group (7th grade and 8th grade) from 5:30 to 7:00 pm and high school group (9th through 12th grade) at 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
  • Back-to-School Lock-in for both junior high and high school students from 8 pm to 8 am on Wednesday August 6th.
  • Putt-Putt golf and activity outing to Centerfield park on Saturday August 16th. Be sure to keep a look out for more information on this event.
  • “DEEPER” bible study. This bible study will help high school teens engage God deeper than we do on Sunday nights. This is an intense study that we encourage all our core group high school students to attend.

I am excited to start this awesome year!

Our purpose at GeNESIS is always to aid young people in their daily relationship with Jesus Christ and help you as a parent equip teens with the word of God. Our desire is to teach, equip, and encourage each other as we all go into their community to make disciples (Matt. 28). Only then will we all see young men and women become powerful leaders now and in the future through the relationship they have with Jesus Christ.

See ya Sunday Night August 3rd!
-Jordan
